Commercial

Built to Work with General Contractors

For the new Metro Air Park Distribution Center for Golden Brands, general contractor Buzz Oates selected UCD as a local millwork partner for a large, multi-area commercial build. UCD provided custom architectural millwork, cabinetry, and Corian® solid surface solutions throughout the facility. The project required a partner capable of supporting both public-facing and operational spaces under one coordinated scope.

The Scope

The project included reception counters, service areas, storage cabinetry, employee kitchenettes and breakrooms, upholstered banquette seating, office work surfaces, restroom and locker room countertops, and custom cabinetry throughout the facility. UCD also coordinated delivery and installation. The breadth of the work required consistent execution across a wide range of spaces, materials, and functional requirements.

The Challenge

The project required coordination across multiple areas while adapting to an evolving construction schedule. UCD needed to maintain quality and consistency while staying responsive to changing site conditions and general contractor requirements. Managing multiple areas of work at the same time also required dependable communication and close coordination with other trades

The Solution

UCD combined local manufacturing, in-house solid surface fabrication, dedicated project management, logistics, and installation to support the project from production through final installation. Close coordination with the GC helped keep the work aligned with the overall construction schedule. Our local resources and broad in-house capabilities also allowed the team to respond quickly as project needs changed during construction.
