American Eagle Outfitters, Inc needed a vendor to manufacture and manage a nationwide rollout for their Back to School program. UCD worked directly with American Eagle to meet their specifications. UCD’s team designed and customized a shadow box along with ornate frames required for the project. This 1.2-million-dollar project is what spurred UCD’s relationship with A&E almost a decade ago.
The Challenge
With only six weeks lead time prior to American Eagle’s national back-to-school rollout, UCD was tasked with designing, prototyping and fabricating custom frames to fit American Eagle’s Back-To-School merchandising goals.
The Scope
Working diligently to meet American Eagle’s high quality standards, UCD provided:
- Name: Back-to-School Frame Program
- Project: 210 Frames (130 large- Tri Fold, 80 Single)
- Delivered Per Distro list to 139 individual stores
- Time Frame: 6 weeks
- History: working with AE for 10+ Years
The Solution
UCD seamlessly delivered the shadow boxes and frames packaging in various kits. UCD shipped off a distro list provided by AE to all 901 stores worldwide within the 6-week timeframe. American Eagle was so pleased with the success of the roll-out that UCD has continued to supply their Back to School package annually, adding additional frames throughout the years.
